This is our first foster kitty, Bulma. She was found near her mama, who had been hit by a car. Bulma is a very sweet cat who we all love very much!! She is tiny, shy, and loves to get cuddles from Nate and Zach. I don't think this "foster" will be going anywhere. We have others that need forever homes, though!

Here's the lowdown:
Timing is Key: Most standard cat breeds are ready for adult food around 12 months old.
Why Wait? Kitten food is packed with extra calories, protein, and vital nutrients (like DHA!) that support rapid growth, bone development, and brain function. Adult food simply doesn't have the same high-octane fuel!
Large Breeds: Got a Maine Coon or another big cat? They grow slower! Keep them on kitten food until 18-24 months.
The Gentle Switch: Don't swap bowls overnight! Gradually mix adult food into their kitten food over 7-10 days. This keeps their tummies happy.
