I found these beautiful, starving, feral kittens at the retreat I spoke at a few days ago. It was a vegan retreat but luckily I’d brought chicken and managed to round up a can of tuna and some chicken rice soup that they happily devoured. By the last day, they were running out to greet me and the less fluffy one let me pat him. I fell in love and wanted to take him home, and even found a home for his sister... but some wild things have no desire to be tamed and prefer their freedom to food on tap. I totally get it...and I sooo wanted to bring it home with me and I’m not even a cat person. I’ve had two cats in my life and both were black. I named the little one Pluto...his sis was definitely Kali Ma the way she hissed when lil bro got near her food. Alas, it was not meant to be.
