“I’m completely miffed,” he sighed walking up to Tim. The frustration was obvious in his face. “How have we not figured out how to get home yet?” He looked defeated. If two of the smartest people on earth didn’t know how to get out of this damn town, he didn’t know what hope everyone else had. “It’s definitely not nanotechnology or vibranium. That much I can figure out.” Whatever the barrier was-- it likely wasn’t of science.

As a scientist, the prince was quite used to having his mind crowd with thoughts 24/7. And being unsettled had been a constant state. But since the town meeting his thoughts were a lot more-- concentrated. Concentrated on one subject. One that left him more restless than usual. He was sitting outside their porch, staring intently at nothing as he looked buried in thought. When he noticed his best friend come out, his eyes widened slightly. He let out a huff of air as he turned to him with a hesitant smile. “Hi,” he spoke quietly. “Can we-- can we talk? I think I need to tell you something important.”

Tuesday morning was a rough one. He didn’t quite understand what the fuck was going on but the thought of the weekend that had passed made his heart sink to the pit of his stomach. He sat up in bed for two hours, mulling things over until he had to come out to grab something to eat. Only when he did, Tim was in the kitchen. Fezile was quick to turn around and head back to his room soon as they made eye contact. He spent most of the day in bed, hungry and freaking out. There was doubt involved, and definitely some guilt, and maybe some tears of straight frustration.
He didn’t know at what point he’d decided to finally talk to Tim. The sun was beginning to set when he finally found him though. “Hey,” he spoke quietly as he approached the other male. “I think-- I think we need to talk.”
