I wish I could edit the visual theming of jobs. What if there were "patrons" of sorts that messed with the theming a bit?

I've seen pixie reaper, but what about voidsent paladin? What about dragon themed black mage and elemental dragoons? What about a lightning based Summoner from the ninth and a light based pugilist from the first?

Lots of possibility, I think.

Ruby Weapon Phase 2 Retranslation

I play in Japanese, and checking the English, a lot of the lines were screwed up for Ruby Weapon as usual with how bad the loc is. And I love Nael so it’s personal this time, so I’m retranslating them here.

My main issue is in addition to not mentioning her brother first thing (the one line where she does in EN is missable…) they make it sound like tempered Nael, when this is all about her own feelings not Bahamut’s, so it muddles the message. Her appearance is that of when she was “Nael deus Darnus” but she introduces herself as “Nael van Darnus”, uses her usual first person pronoun 余 (she switches to 我 as deus Darnus), and furthermore, she’s talking about how meteor is to bring glory to her brother’s name, not because of Bahamut. Untempered Nael would not be calling herself a servant and in JP she doesn’t. (Also JP lines more clearly indicate which attack she's using)

7. No, I will not relent…! I’ll begin the Meteor Project anew!

8. O stardust, fall like rain! Death to those who would impede the Project…!

9. O demonic meteor, destroy those who would oppose me!

10. Fall, O meteors! Stop them if you can, you beasts! (Yep, it’s kedamono again)

11. I’m sure….clack clack…. The malevolent star fell….. clack clack …. I won’t accept this…. I’ll never accept failure…! (JP has a mechanical sound effect here! Same one they use for Omega and terminals)

12. I shall complete the final Meteor Project! clack clack clack….to bring glory to my brother’s… to my brother Nael’s name….!

13. Ah… my… our red moon… my… my brother’s power…. How dazzling…... (EN really missed the point here, the JP mirrors her dying line from coils, but with added parts that almost sound as if she’s speaking as “Eula”.

Her line in coils is 「ああ…余の赤き月…余の力…なんて…眩しい…」　(Ah…my red moon…my power…how dazzling…). Also the “our” here isn’t using 余たち, with her usual first person pronoun, but rather 私たち, with "watashi" which I would assume she used when younger, back when she was “Eula”. 余 is an archaic pronoun used by people of high status so she probably only used that once she became legatus, after she became “Nael”. Milisandia uses アタシ so its not her either.)

Idk what the lines are in English, but I’ll include the JP from the Nael heads from the EX fight just in case too-

Grief:

愛しい兄様… 置いていかないで…

“My dear brother…. Don’t leave me….”

ブラダマンテ姉様… なぜ逝ってしまったの？

“Bradamante….Why did you have to die?”

Rage:

無能な父を… 絶対に許さない…！

“I’ll never forgive my incompetent father..!”

兄様を奪った「けだもの」どもめ…！

“You damn beasts that stole my brother away…!” (You guessed it, kedamono again)

Other notes- she calls her brother “Nii-sama”, and Bradamante “Nee-sama” (idk how many people know about her, but she’s her brother’s fiancée that killed herself after he died). I’d assume that sort of formality is typical for a family of high standing like the Darnus family.
