Gear: Bloodbending

Sometimes referred to as "The Puppetmaster Technique," this unique ability allows the Waterbender to control his or her opponent like a marionette. This technique requires an incredible amount of power and can only be done by the highest level Waterbenders when the moon is full. Some speculate that controlling another person is a "dark" form of Waterbending, and that those who practice the technique open themselves up to homicidal madness. Katara uses this technique on the Southern Raider Commander that she thinks killed her mother.

Gear: Aang’s armor

This fearsome looking armor is covered in hooks, spikes, chains, and blades. But in spite of all its weaponry, this armor is useless on the battlefield as it's much too heavy and cumbersome to wear while fighting.

Gear: Sokka’s training outfit

During his sparring sessions with Fat, Sokka wears a special padded outfit and fights using a wooden sword. This is because training with a real sword would be too dangerous.

Gear: Energybending

The Lion Turtle teaches Aang a technique available only to the Avatar: the ability to take away someone's bending. Only a very few Avatars have ever learned this technique and even fewer have used it, for it is very dangerous to do. In order to bend another's energy, an Avatar's own energy must be pure and unbendable. If not, the enemy's corrupted energy can take over the Avatar's energy and kill him. Ozai's bad, red energy nearly overtakes Aang's good, white energy, but Aang, being a pure, uncorrupted being, was able to overcome it and take Ozai's bending away.

Gear: Painting of Uncle

When Zuko left his home on the Day of Black Sun, he took this painting with him. After Uncle's escape from prison, he went missing and Zuko has no idea where he is. This painting is the only physical reminder he has of his loving Uncle.
