write our names in the wet concrete Hangster, E
Any time someone has the nerve to ask Jake Seresin how a kid who grew up a couple hours outside of Dallas got into hockey, he just smirks and weaves a tale about a four year old kid up way past his bedtime, sneaking out of bed for a glass of water and ending up transfixed in the doorway of the TV room watching the 1999 Stanley Cup Finals.
sweat baby sweat Buddie, E
El Paso is damn hot.
room for two Buddie, E
Eddie’s been different since he got back from El Paso.
Shut Up Hangster, E
A year ago Bradley Bradshaw would have laughed if someone told him he’d be teaching at Top Gun instead of being deployed halfway around the world. Hell, even six months ago he would have laughed about it, teaching at Top Gun was never a part of the plan.
can′t leave me alone Buddie, E
Three weeks. Buck hasn’t gotten off in three fucking weeks.
the broken love I make to him Buddie, M
It feels weird thinking that a funeral is nice because there’s really nothing nice about laying someone you love to rest.
playing favorites Eddie & Pepa, Buddie, T
You’re not supposed to have favorite children and Pepa is sure when she has more than one of her own she won’t have a favorite — or at least she won’t tell anyone she has a favorite.
can't keep my hands to myself Hangster, E
Meet me at baggage claim at 1710 or find your own way to Asheville, dickhead 💙
like never before Hangster, T
The Hard Deck is surprisingly busy for a Tuesday afternoon, or maybe it isn’t all that busy and Bradley’s still a little jumpy.
D is for Divorced Hangster, E
It isn’t until they’re safely back on dry land and all temporarily reassigned to NAS North Island that it hits Bradley that something is different.
Bonus 11th fic because this post was in my drafts before posting this fic yesterday
hot just like an oven Buddie, E
"It's always a fucking lab. How do we keep end up getting trapped in labs?" Buck sighs, sliding down the wall and landing on the ground with a dull thud.
This was a really fun exercise. The last time I did this kind of post most of my first lines were more easing the reader in. I really like that I've shifted more toward jumping into action or starting in the middle of a scene to try to hook people.
