These are migratory birds and are building their strength for the next stage. There are still a few chicks in tree hollows that have not yet had their first flight.

Y’ALL

I have turned into a bird person (I now own uh.... eight feeders, although if the squirrels keep chewing at the upside down suet feeder that one may die quickly). But! Today! I saw my first blue jay!!! In my backyard!

Time to go buy peanuts in the shell!
