• kaleetan big fan of the seahawks. more so than the rest of them. on a scale of 0 to 10 they Are the 12th man. ever friday is blue friday on board m/v kaleetan and if you aren’t bleeding blue & green ur getting tossed off the side (inspired by kaleetan being the first and only? ferry to host a seahawks pep rally)

• ironically kaleetan also seems to be pretty soft spoken — they’ve had a few near/collisions wherein the other ships just didn’t hear kaleetan’s radio warnings that it was nearby.

• this was brought up in ibttl but the ferries are very sensitive to the positions of their inclinometers; most as rusted into place and dont actually move but sometimes their crewmates play mean tricks on them by moving the arrows manually and it gives them vertigo :(

• many of them have some degree of deteriorated hearing from working in the underbellies of their ferries where the engines are horrifically loud. sometimes when theyre all together they end up yelling over each other, not intentionally it’s just that they HAVE to speak up for one another 😭

• propeller loss/damage typically results in like……ankle spraining or dislocation depending on how bad the damage is (looks at walla walla who will be on crutches for the next two months)

edit: also just found out chimacum is apparently electronically challenged ?? commuters used to avoid her like the plague because she has like. zero cell service. people used to have to press their phones against the window glass to get signal and not just in dead zones her entire hull blocked service
