Definitely one of my favorites! It's a retirement fic but it handles it in a way that doesn't leave me depressed lol. We've also got Max dealing with his upbringing and long term Silverstone complications :)

Exactly what the title says lol, Max refuses to admit he's sick and that goes about as well as you'd expect. This fic is more about Max and Rupert but Lestappen is a background pairing.

Don't Give Up On Me by @ziniana

This is a full universe not just a single fic. The Search is the currently updating fic but Achilles Come Down is one of my favorite for sure. A lot of the universe is more Max&Charles but you can feel the Lestappen tension building even in the earlier fics!

The fics do such a good job at portraying the races accurately as they really happened. It's so good! Really it comes down to Grid Family vs Abusive Jos which I love so...

The 2025 Maxiel series Technically Ghost Tour was my first ever f1 fic because I read it with no context lol but it's very very good :) Think toxic exes with lots of regret and yearning during the 2025 season :) Go read it :)

Baku Time Loop fic LISTEN this is one of the best fics I've EVER read. Even if you don't normally do timeloops please PLEASE give it a read. It's hard to explain exactly why you should read it but just know Max goes through it and it's so satisfying. Truly one of the best romance based longfics I've read in a long time

Teenage Max is doing not well and Daniel is trying to keep him alive I was hesitant recommending this just because it's incomplete (last updated April 2025) but it lives absolutely rent free in my head. Highly recommend even if it's never finished it's so worth it. Teenage Max is making all of the worst mistakes you can make when you finally taste freedom and have been raised the way he was raised and Daniel starts to realize that this kid will literally kill himself if someone doesn't help him out. (This author also has a lot of good Max&GP fics :)

Max's trainers have questions about Max's scars This is one of my favorite fics ever. There are two chapters, one with Brad and one with Rupert. This series by an anonymous author is amazing and I recommend everything in "sing him praises." The tone and writing is SO good. Just... go read it!

Max is sick and struggling in Jeddah 2021. Brad (and others) helps him get through it. Recently written and so so good! Max in pain and the team rallying around him <3

heyy completely unsolicited fic rec i just read this lestappen abo fic and it was just wow - https://archiveofourown.org/works/53666548/chapters/135852052 - was pleasantly surprised by how well the unconventional omega/omega relationship worked, how minimal the smut is compared to most abo fics and how emotional i got at some parts, it really is like the author described, basically a max character study but throw in typical omegaverse sexism, an even shittier childhood and more self doubt 😭 but yes i have a feeling this will be your cup of tea and as a fellow omega max believer i had to recommend it to you ❤️

This is one of my favorites!! I read it a few weeks ago and have it bookmarked. It really was a good character study for Max.

I'm not typically a huge fan of Omega/Omega but it was done really well!
