Still needs some adjustments but I made a thing for my thumb. Made of galvanized steel wire, theoretically less likely to rust/tarnish but we’ll see.

Ensure proper installation and use of flexible joints to extend their life and reduce maintenance costs.
In the course of use, the flexible joints need to be regularly maintained and inspected, including checking whether the bolts are loose, whether the seals are worn out, whether the bearing ports are deformed and so on.
During installation, attention needs to be paid to the orientation of the flexible joints so that they can properly compensate for pipe displacement and vibration damping.
Flexible joints are suitable for both sides and pipe plugging, do not need to weld, reasonable structure, sealing, fast and easy installation.
Flexible joints not only play the role of connection, more importantly, when the pipe is subjected to external forces or temperature changes, it can ensure the sealing of the pipe connection to prevent leakage.
During the use of flexible joints, damaged or aged flexible joints should be regularly inspected and replaced to ensure the safe operation of the pipeline.
When installing flexible joints, care should be taken not to subject them to excessive tension or pressure that could affect their sealing.
