Pidge: Anyone want a platonic Valentine?
Lance: You got any slightly romantic Valentines? I'd go for one of those.

“I swear to God Raven, you’re gonna kill yourself if you keep working this hard.” Clarke walked up behind the brunette and put a hand on her shoulder. “Maybe you should take a break.”
There was no getting around the fact that Silas probably shouldn’t be working, but by whatever magic, or strange, outer worldly power there was, he was nearing nine-hundred pounds, and yet somehow walked with only a waddle. Currently around eight hundred and seventy, with most of his weight going to his massive shelf of an ass, his huge , extra wide hips and thighs .. It was nothing new to get looks, questioning ones and curious ones.
However, there was one person in specific Silas’ eye caught. A girl in a purple-ish blue hood approaching him. By no means has he been to jump city before. So he hoped he didn’t do something wrong.
Did she sense the evil and strange eldritch creatures beyond human understanding that he studied?

character aesthetic for Hazel Levesque (Heroes of Olympus) - as played by Raven.

the thing ig about raven and call is that raven desperately wants to find familial connection in call but only wants it with the ideal version of call theyve crafted in their head and have convinced themselves that they can turn call into (not just a call that isnt in the finches but also a call that rejects hir vampirism and lives a human) so raven is literally incapable of not alienating call.
whereas call holds some affection for hir sibling and sympathizes with their desire for family but raven poses a very tangible threat to call. not just to the way of life call has chosen but also to hir well being.
so in my mind, the reason why raven and calls relationship is like that is mostly ravens fault. they cant get over their moral self righteousness to form a connection with call. theres no middle ground between who call is, who she can be and who raven wants hir to be.
