picking up a very polite Dinomyrmex ant in Singapore. despite their large size, they’re not dangerous to people and lack a sting.

A sugar ant ( Camponotus confusus ?) just tripped on my arm hair. Like, almost fell completely flat on its abdomen. How do you do that with 6 legs and being completely surrounded by soft integument? Hey i kept seeing how much of an asshat people made you out to be but after reading a fair amount of your replies to people you actually sound like a pretty swell dude! Have a nice one man 😊

When you’re the “Don’t be a dick” guy, a certain personality type spends a lot of time and energy waiting for you to mess up, so they can point at you and boo like the witch in Princess Bride.

I screw up all the time, but I really am doing my best to live the kind of life and be the kind of person that I want to encounter in the world. If you put a lot of people who spend a lot of time regurgitating their MS Paint-based evidence that I’m a terrible person into a Venn Diagram with people who are really into Gamer Gate and red hats, you’ll see a nearly-perfect circle. And, honestly? I’m fine being hates by people who look up to Adam Baldwin as a role model.
