I love Fran, but I agree with the network about putting Fran & Max together. The will they won’t they was great in the beginning, but after 4 seasons there needed to be a pay off. I don’t think people would have stuck around for a 6th season if they never got together. In fact, I firmly believe that’s why their ratings started to drop. The ratings didn’t drop because they got together. They dropped because they didn’t get together fast enough. Everyone was soo ready for that “I love you,” and then when they had him take it back. They start to make Max look like this ass that can’t commit and enjoys toying with her emotions, and they make Fran look like this desperate woman who has no self worth. I feel like if they hadn’t drug out the will they won’t they until midway through season 5, they probably wouldn’t have seen much of a drop. And who knows, maybe we could have had a few engaged and married seasons. And some of the season 6 story lines wouldn’t have had to be rushed.
