Most people can tell who invented the light bulb, or the telephone, but how many could name the inventor of the television? Television is one of the most impactful, and influemtial inventions in the past century, and it seems really strange that mos people don’t know, who invented it. Well, his name is Philo Fransworth, who demonstrated first a crude, but working thing what was called an “image dissector” in 1927 at the age of 21. This image was first hust a straight line, but by 1929 he managed to transmit a blurry image of his wife onto a three inch surface. The reason you probably never heard about him is because he passed on an offer made by Westinghouse and bought his parents out and worked for them, preferring instead to create his own company. Being unable to compete with his much larger rival, he reamined a wondorus, yet insignificant inventor up to his death in 1971.
