A little sketch test with several pencils from the incredible Frenden Brushes set I just got myself for Clip Studio. It has every kind of brush I could possibly want for traditional-feel digital art, and was a steal at $14.99 on Gumroad! ♥♥♥

I played around with the Frenden CSP brushes last night and uuugh there are so many good ones. The ones above are (from left to right, top to bottom): pencils, inkers/pens, paint brushes, and fx brushes. They’re a lot of fun, and I’m especially impressed with those fx brushes.
Clip studio icons
Just picked up the Frenden brushes for CSP, so decided to sketch Sassassul from A Centaur's life to try them out. I really like them so far!

Adventures in trying to focus on something other than the special interest.

Tar Spiders Watches What You Eat
I want to give this piece a Pop Surrealist look. Art in this movement always look so dream-like and carefree even with gloomy subjects. I guess I just want to let go a bit, to digitally paint without logic even for a little while. Simultaneously, I did a few experiments. I want the textures to be as visible as possible. I work on a low resolution and re-size it depending on the level of details. I think it gets blurry in some places, but I’ll figure out a way to smooth it out. I used Frenden’s Painting and Wet Media Brushes for this. I’ve been on a texture exploration binge since last month.
