Chicken, chicken, chicken in differing varieties … If this ticks the boxes for you, make your way to Yard & Coop 

Off we went back to Yard & Coop, because who can resist some fried chicken. We were trying out the new special Chick’n’Cone, which is buttermilk fried chicken in a waffle cone drizzled with their special homemade sauces and topped with savoury delights, of your choice.

On that day, our bellies welcomed;

Buffalo Cone [£7] - Waffle cone with chicken (flavour of your choice). And that wasn’t all, you get a pleasant surprise of Mac’n’cheese at the end of the cone

Loaded Tatties [£4.50] - This complemented the chicken really well, and perfect for breaking up your chicken-full meal. Pretty much a meal in itself with potatoes topped with cheese sauce and adobo mayo...yum yum

Salt & Pepper Drums [£7 for 5] - Oh, so succulent chicken drums mixed in a Chinese-like combination of mixed peppers, chilli and seaweed

Dr Pepper BBQ Wings [£6 for 5] - Several wings in a proper bbq flavour of that sticky, sweet kind. It’s the kind of flavour that works well with ribs, and works just as good on these wings

The cones are limited edition and available until the end of August (lunch menu), so give them a try - It’s probably best to get as a sharing starter as it may not fill you up as a proper meal
