she may no longer held a position on the team but it didn’t mean that MEI CHANG would never show up to practice , ever again . she loved the sport too much . even as she watched bodies fly quickly , the witch felt the slightest tinge of regret . but the hufflepuff wouldn’t dare admit that she missed the sport . she had been too adamant in her departure .

which explained why she was standing off to the side chatting up one of the beaters about life & weather . though one particular topic came up and her voice raised high .

“ he’s not special . at some angles he even looks like an O G R E . did you know that ? definitely has the personality of - - ”

her sentence had stopped as the other beater of the team headed over . & her disposition changed . with a soft smile and a tilt of the head , her attention shifted .

Mary had been dancing, for a while and stumbled off the dance floor to find herself with a flute of champagne in her hands when her eyes landed on Amos Diggory. In the best of ways, much like all those she actually considered herself familiar with her did stick out. It was a good thing, she decided.

"Oh, hi! Looking great. Again." She shook her head. "Is that going become a habit, too?" A pattern. Somehow whenever Amos was involved Mary found herself following patterns entirely by accident. No intention, or logic behind it. "Isn't this wonderful? Everyone is having such a great time."

The attack had happened. Nothing physically had happened to Molly. She was one of the few lucky ones. But her mind was constantly swirling with what she saw; people being maimed and dying. How could anyone not be affected by something like that? She had been trying to do different things to get out of her head but it had been difficult. That's when she decided to talk to Amos. She still needed to try out for the Quidditch team. She didn't know how he would feel about it but he agreed to meet with her.

Waiting for him at the Quidditch pitch, Molly's stomach was a mess. She had nerves from what had happened along with nerves of trying out, especially during such a time. But it was something she wanted terribly. Molly hoped terribly that focusing on trying out for the team would give her something to give all her focus.

She closed her eyes and heard James' voice. "Being a chaser is flying." Flying through her hair was what she needed. She wished she had practiced more but knew she could do this. She could hear Amos approaching and opened her eyes. Molly gave a small smile.

"Can't believe we're finally here," she breathed in. "I'm as ready as I'll ever be," Molly said with nerves crawling into her throat.

evening going into night is sybill’s favorite time. she sits on the balcony of the ravenclaw tower to watch the sun fall and the stars rise. she begins seeing the stars she’s named, the constellations which have already been named and all the ones yet to be named. she does this much every night but on special nights she heads out to the quidditch pitch and lays in the grass to see the sky from a different perspective. she’s even recently had a ln unexpected visit from a boy named amos diggory.
