[patch up] - James
Caleb finished up with the alcohol, giving the area a moment to air dry, before he continued. “So who’d you punch?” he asked curiously, as he bandaged up the other’s hand. “and how much did they deserve it?”

August couldn’t say he spent much time with the other outside of work. Then again August’s social life hadn’t entirely been the best lately anyways. Still, the man was trying to get to know people better around the town he’d decided to call home, and had invited the other out for drinks earlier in the day before his shift. “Don’t worry I got it” he said reaching out to put his hand on top of the others as he went to hand his money to the bartender

The last encounter Caleb had had with James hadn’t exactly been the best one, and while they hadn’t left things on completely bad terms, Caleb figured the less enemies he had here the better. He’d gone to get the man some lunch, nothing too fancy just a sandwich, some crisps and a packet of biscuits, as a peace offering. Unfortunately in the process of handing over the packet of biscuits a bird swooped down snatching it out of his hand. “what in the fuck?” Caleb blinked staring at his hand

[ 📱 — sms ] is everything okay? - Jamie
Dad: You suddenly care? Dad: I text you a few days ago. Dad: Don’t worry about it.
Do you have any regrets with Jamie?
“I try not to live in the past.”
“Of course I have regrets when it comes to my son. I was a kid when I had him, I had no idea what it took to raise a child. Back then, I was so focused on success and well I didn’t realize what I was missing out on. One day they are a toddler absolutely in love with you, happy to see you and then suddenly they are a grown adult. It is true, they grow up in a blink of an eye and I missed it. Fucking haunts me everyday.”
who is your favorite person? what are they like?
“My favorite person excluding myself?”
“It would have to be my boy, James. The kid is a smart ass, but he gets it from his old man. Smart as can be, has a mind of his own and refuses to let anyone control him. Mischievous little fuck, but really cannot hold that against him all things considered. But hey, he is mine and well I think he turned out rather amazing even though I wasn’t present most of the time.”
Living on top of his own store was such a convenience that Derek would never take for granted. It meant he was able to wake up later than usual and with the influx of customers lately, he didn't really like having to spend so much of his social energy early in the morning. However, Derek still had the habit of opening up the shop, a quirk that Luna always teased him about, but he couldn't help it; it was his baby. Derek bounded down the stairs of the side of the store that led up to his apartment and found a stranger leaning against the door to his shop. Before Derek could come up with any logical reason as to why that person could possibly be there this early in the morning, his mouth beat him to it. "Who the hell are you?"
