Update!
What's new? A lot!
I still have about 25 race report drafts. They will come. Eventually.
I haven't been running for about ten weeks now: strange pain in my left leg didn't let me. It turned out to be iliotibial band syndrome (ITBS), but not around the knee, a bit higher up:
I have been given physiotherapeutical exercises and I'm waiting for my orthotics to arrive, after which I'll start with five minute daily runs. Until then, it's pretty much just these exercises and more or less daily swimming.
Daily swimming can take place in front of my apartment door, because I've moved here:
The Caymans Islands! Specifically, Grand Cayman, Seven Mile Beach:
Hence pretty super awesome open water swimming year round. I'll pick up pool swimming and maybe masters swimming once I've settled.
For the bike side of things, I'll look at a second hand Fuji Aloha 2.0 in the next days:
It's an entry level tri bike, but much better than no bike, and until I'm much faster, definitely good enough for me. Bring on the Caymanian triathlon season! (Which actually starts this Sunday with a half-iron distance race. Without me.)
