“Hatter?” She could see him sitting at then end of the long table, unable to believe her eyes. How did she wind up there? Much as she hadn’t wanted to, Alice had left Underland once again, leaving behind her truest friend. Was she dreaming? The hatter had said it was a place they could meet, perhaps he’d been right. “Where are we?”
Dramatically bows before the White Queen. ( Tarrant's fuckin fave queen liek 5ever honestly )
DULL EYES FLASHED with an uncharacteristic warmth, a smile creeping across marble flesh slowly. Though Mirana possessed a flair for the dramatic, she cared for none of the PAGEANTRY that came with a crown ( perhaps that was a result of her lax upbringing; she didn’t quite know the answer ); Tarrant seemed to understand that, despite the delicate rules and quiet that fell upon Marmoreal that there was a need for FRIVOLITY within. Pale hands came together with a THUNDEROUS clap; wringing together before she sank into an equally ridiculous curtsy, body bending dangerously low to the polished floors despite arms that still refused to drop. She greeted him as an EQUAL, greeted him as a friend. “You need never bow to me, Tarrant.” A soft murmur left painted lips as she rose, silks and velvets rustling in protest. “We have known each other far too long for that.”

EVER HOPEFUL, MIRANA found the phrase ‘take heart !’ upon her lips; yet what felt like centuries of waiting made the words stick in her throat like TAR. Under dearest sister’s reign, Underland had gone GREY: a lifeless world of shadows and soot that Tarrant had begun to blend into. How long until the CHAMPION arrived? The Oraculum had never been precise, time had always been funny. Night after night spent fretting over kingdom and its people had begun to weigh upon her chest like LEAD, leaving face gaunt and eyes ringed with dark circles that would never fade away. Surely the Hatter felt it in the very marrow of his bones: the man had always been connected to the land in a way Mirana could only dream of being. Nervously did pale fingers wring, fluttering ‘round like a moth’s wings before settling upon her breast. What passed through her lips was more for her own sake than his; but perhaps he would take comfort in it. “--Surely it will not be long now, Tarrant. She will come.”
