This is officially my longest run to date! I am so freaking proud of how far I've come this year and I'm so so so excited to see where I go!!
I found this Week 2 Day 1 workout easier than week 1 even if I ran for longer. This week it's 1.5 minutes of jogging for 2 minutes of walking with a 5 minute warm up and cool down walk. My mom's asthma inhaler 100% helped me with the burning in my lungs! My difficulty now is that my legs felt like lead! I feel like I could barely lift them off the ground. And it begins...
Today i started training for the marathon! I am doing this with just the support of my best friend and my own willpower. Seen as i am a beginner, i don’t know exactly how this will go, but i hope well!
Today i ran 1.5 miles in 13 minutes and i am super proud of myself!
(I am really tired though...)
So I figure if I can get to where I can run a half in 12 weeks, I should be able to do a full in... however many weeks it is till NOLA. Any ways I *wanted* two miles today but my foot reminded me that it's been a while since I last hit the pavement, so I stopped at one so I don't hurt myself. One is better than none, amIright?!
