Tonight I had the honor to return as a Panelist for the Our Whole Lives class at the Fellowship. OWLs is a class that addresses gender and sexual identity, healthy relationships, sexual development and health, and many other vital topics with adolescents and youth. I was blessed to go through the curriculum in both middle and high school, and it helped me become a strong self-advocate. It means a lot to come back and talk openly with these young people about my identity and my relationship with myself. We all deserve to be open with ourselves, and we deserve to have other people share their experiences with us when they are comfortable doing so. Talk to the young people in your lives. One day late, but oh so thankful for the exceptional work my students have been doing. Our concerts are in one week, and they are so ready. On Monday night, they chose to sing some of their songs during a student council event and I hear that they were wonderful!
