The Boys are Back in Town!

The Big Brother Ponies of Gen 1 are so funny to me. Shame they only showed up one episode! In honor of them, I have given them all little overhauls for my G1 Reimagining :3 Fun fact: Bill is named after the oldest functional locomotive, Puffin' Billy!

Slugger = Strike Out aka Striker

Tex = Westward

Salty = Salt Breeze

Steamer = Puffin' Bill aka Big Smoke, Big Bill

Quarterback = Gridiron

4-Speed = Full Speed aka Speedy, Speedster

Dazzle Glow does indeed still glow in the dark, and my camera does indeed still refuse to pick it up properly.

Cotton Candy got a haircut at some point in time, clearly, but she’s one of the original run flat-footed ponies like my Butterscotch.

My incredibly strange Heart Throb with clearly very white hearts on one side and very pink hearts on the other side.  I don’t know and I never did get any answers.

Party Time!  I later found out this specific mold was kind of a “Big Brother pony precursor” in the UK.  I declare gender-meh pony, but I sure would have loved Twinkle Eyed Big Brothers.

Bottom row, left to right:

Baby Heart Throb at least has symbols that make more sense, pink hearts on both sides... but only hearts, not hearts with wings.  Consistency.

Pansexual icon, Baby Brightbow.

Baby Glider got a little punk in her, I think.

Baby Pockets and Hoppy the Kangaroo came as a set.  ...As I recall, Hoppy was the only companion animal option that didn’t look incredibly odd.
