“If I lay here... If I just lay here, would you lie with me and just forget the world?”
There was no safety in this world. It was a vicious, unforgiving planet. And yet, angels insisted on remaining on this small, rotating ball out of some misguided belief they were meant to watch over it for an absent father. For some, it was a lost cause; but for Galmon, she served a father she had never met.
The runt had strayed too far from home this time. She was alone. For the first time in her long life, she had no one to help her. Her brethren numbers were scattered and stretched far too thin. No one would be coming to the rescue. Perhaps that was why the demons ambushed her now. They knew she was at her weakest.
Galmon was never raised to be a fighter. Oh, angels were meant to be soldiers of god, but she had never been good in a combat situation. Worse yet, the demons surrounding her were armed with angel blades. Another sign of how many of her brothers and sisters had fallen. Their attacks were highly coordinated and strategized. Oddly, they were not going in for the kill. Had they wanted her dead, her wings would be ash upon the ground by now.
Fallen to the ground, her hands pressed hard against her vessel’s abdomen, trying to keep the mixture of blood and grace from pouring out of her. She was no match for the three powerful demons, even at her fullest strength. Head bowed low, she awaited whatever tortures they had in store for her. (@hellboundhighschooldropout)
“Stay down,” Galmon ordered the angel she was on patrol with, “The Rit Zien will be here shortly to heal you,” her priority right now was to find the attacker. She left her comrade hidden under the brush as she scouted the area, blade in hand. { @soulsunforgiven || APOCALYPSE WORLD }
“Have you ever tried human food just for fun?” The young angel leaned in close to her elder sibling, speaking in a hushed tone so no one could hear her, “They are so culinarily adventurous. Who would have thought to put something salty like french fries into something sweet like ice cream?” { @cupcakemonwrites }
Galmon found herself out of sorts. This wasn’t where she was supposed to be. Then again, she wasn’t even supposed to be on Earth. Her orders were not to leave the gates of Heaven. She was much too naive for this world; something she was learning quite quickly as she ran down the street with two demons close on her trail. A wrong turn brought her to a dead end. A shaky hand raised her never-used angel blade: the only thing between her and the black-eyed demons. { @endfaith }

“Dreaming about Providence and whether mice or men have second tries. Maybe we've been livin' with our eyes half open, maybe we're bent and broken.”

There was something about planting her own garden that Galmon greatly enjoyed. Bringing life from dirt gave her a sense of purpose. She may not have many responsibilities but this garden was the most important thing to her. She sat on the cool, damp earth as she plucked some lavender from the soil. She held it close and inhaled deeply. “A delightful. Don’t you think?”

Galmon shouldn’t be here. It directly disobeyed her standing orders. The young angel was too much of an easy target if a demon came her way. Too naive and impressionable. The temptation was too great. She heard the prayers of humanity and couldn’t ignore them any longer. The earth was soft under her bare feet, her toes tickled by the grass. Why had her brothers and sisters warned her not to come here? She stood barefoot in the park, staring up directly into the sun. “Beautiful day, isn’t it?” She commented to a passing stranger.
