I need more thicc thigh bois
I find it an absolute OUTRAGE that there is not more thicc thigh boys in video games. I have come to accept the fact that fan service and the whole ‘sex sells’ thing will always be a thing, but I am APPALLED by pure INJUSTICE that I realized today.
Think about it: There are Tons of (Ɔ ˘⌣˘)♥ 𝓈𝑒𝓍𝓎 𝒶𝓃𝒾𝓂𝑒 𝑔𝒾𝓇𝓁𝓈♥(˘⌣˘ C) But absolutely ZERO of the correlation for guys!
And before some random guy is all like ‘ But have you SeEn the MuScLeS’ Leeme get something straight: NOT ALL GIRLS LIKE MUSCLES!!!
Yes, there are some that do. That is fine. But this idea that guys have in their heads that muscles are Universally Sexy is Very Very Stupid.
You want to know why all men in the media have huge muscles? Simple: Power fantasy.
Men pass this notion of ‘huge hulking being that is dark and edgy and can get away with things’ as what women want, when really all it is, is men portraying themselves as big and huge and strong.
And That Is Okay.
I know, I know, there are some parts of the masculine culture that are toxic. And that is a tumblr speech for another time. But, at the end of the day, everyone wants to feel capable. Strong. Powerful.
Guys, Gals, It isn’t a matter of what gender you are, it’s a matter of feeling that people like you can make a change. And that is almost beautiful, in a way.
And at the same time, we need the flip side, as well. We need to know we can let our guard down, that we can be protected, and helped.
‘Big, strong man’. ‘Damsel in distress’.
They aren’t inherently bad roles.
The problem came when only a particular type of person could fit those roles.
So let there be mildly-uncomfortable gaming experiences for men, where there are curvy boys wearing impractical and revealing clothes. But at the same time, those boys are protected, instead of being ridiculed or shunned. There isn’t a tragic backstory, or a dramatic ‘They’re GAY/TRANS??’ moment. Just a regular, cis/het dude being thicc, fabulous, and amazing.
Let it be a mutual thing for all genders where we laugh at jokes about impractical battle outfits and chain-mail bikini shorts. And maybe, men will feel more comfortable with wearing things that aren’t basket ball shorts and t-shirts, opening up a way for them to express themselves.
Just maybe, thicc boys will help the world, in their own special way.
[I did not expect this to turn out so deep, wtf]
