Had to doodle them
I was in a particularly blender-y mood yesterday and threw myself into modeling Kabewski's Beetle Boy for Flak Arcana. I've still got a handful of things to finish and touch up, but I can't wait to 3dprint this awesome lil dude
Printed and assembled a slightly too tiny Beetle Boi. I've already printed a larger one to make assembly and detail appreciation even easier, but I'm pretty proud of how well he came together for my first modeled from scratch mini Design credit to @kabewski and Flak Arcana

Blanket Wizard Art Dump!
What better time than now to repost a bunch of old art?
Back in 2021* I joined the War for Rayuba OCT and submitted Blanket Wizard, Master of Rest and Relaxation. I toyed with a few ideas but nailed down the "weird lil guy in his underwear" design immediately.
I was deeply out of practice at the time, but I submitted my character ref anyways. Despite wanting to draw comics, I had never really tried, but the W4R community was very encouraging. Plus I wasn't expecting to get into any rounds anyways.
I don't exactly know when it happened, but one of only things that changed about his design without any story development was that his ears just kept getting bigger.
I ended up doing 4 comics in total, but I might save those to repost later.
I wanted to do more. Even started cooking some deep lore about BW and what his whole deal was. I don't know if I'll ever fully give up on the idea of doing something with all those ideas.
A common topic on W4R's server was character design and figuring out the best balance between detail and drawability, since any design would need to be drawn dozens of times per round.
Weekly Art Jams also gave us lots of excuses to play with those designs in different ways.
BW's design only changed slightly about half-way through the OCT because of a grand battle round where he headbutted someone with a gem embedded in her forehead and scarred himself in the process.
Also he got pants. I felt like he earned them.
(His ears and hair seemingly got even bigger too)
Some more weekly art jams.
Actor jam, Space jam, JRPG Jam, and Gender Bender Jam.
I think I'd be here for the rest of the week trying to find everything I drew during the course of the W4R. Not to mention how hard it would be the track down and properly tag all the friends I made during that time
Towards the end, after losing a Side-Swap match, BW got possessed by a handful of ghosts. I had intended to draw a comic explaining how he off-loaded them into various plushies, but I never got that far. Work was killing me at the time.
All of this is only some of the BW art I have. This doesn't even include the fanart I drew or had drawn for me. The Sleep Squad OCs that other people made of BW's weird species, all the fusions (so many fusions…) and so much other stuff.
I loved drawing this little goober and still do.
What better time to get a new project finished than a less than week before the convention?
Going to be at AnimeMidwest's artist alley this weekend. Come find me!
I stalled out for a bit while working on @kabewski's Beetle Boi, but I managed to get the rigging and IK stuff working! Now I just need to fiddle with the sword and some stuff for printing and I'll be able to fire off a test print tomorrow
