You've probably had - or will have - a ton of notes about this already, but rock-band Raijinshuu is now (basically) canon, and lo and behold there's Bixlow on drums and Fried on bass (and Ever on lead guitar and Laxus on vocals). I am now even prouder of my We Are Young Fried mug than I already was.

tbh Laxus really was supposed to be the frontman in the WAY drafts, but as I was writing his character I got fond of the idea that he’s more of a backseat leader than anything. i feel like Ever would be more at home with that vocalist spotlight. ;)

Ah, let's drop a headcanon off here... Usually Laxus doesn't particularly enjoy reading, but if Fried can't sleep for whatever reason, he'll pick up whichever book his boyfriend/husband is currently in the middle of and read it aloud to him until Fried drifts off. Sometimes, Fried will wake up the next morning to find that Laxus carried on reading said book overnight, and now wants to talk about his favourite characters and how cool the ending was... which Fried now has to read to catch up.

I imagine it would also work as a good soothing method, if Freed has dealt with a nightmare or troubling thoughts or some effects of his magic. Laxus’ presence and some closeness will probably help either way but imagining Laxus reading to him is really pure and good!
That, and it’s adorable thinking about Laxus growing to get into a book so much that he also gets fave characters and that he actually ends up having read more than Freed so he’s the one having to catch up now haha omg, this really is just such a pure headcanon!

THANK YOU! I’ve been trying to work out a way to say this for ages and you took the words right out of my head. Excellent breakdown of the relationship between them and its basis in a firm foundation of trust. I’ve always read it as a secure and solid relationship that isn’t affected by physical distance, and Fried knows that no matter how long the separation is, it will pick right back up where it left off as soon as Laxus comes back.

I'd meant to submit the picture - the most recent chapter of Fairy Tail 100 Years Quest (the official sequel) came out yesterday and Natsu et al wander into a bizzaro version of Fairy Tail called Fairy Nail where no-one has magic but everyone is a celebrity or star of some sort - that's where Rock Band Raijinshuu came from! Laxus is called Lacris, but we don't know the others' names yet.

Aaaah you followed me and I've loved your stuff for ages and yet somehow I haven't followed you yet and I'm going to need Fried-loving friends once FT is over or I will be very sad. But in all seriousness is it alright if I just turn up in the chat and yell about Fried and things? Because none of my RL or online friends know much about Fairy Tail and so I don't know anyone who will yell back about about this wonderful man who has been my favourite character of all for about six years.

I’m really glad you like them, ‘cause to be honest, I totally made them up as I went along. I have no idea if I’m drawing them right half the time. Making them go from hand to elbow and still let him move his arms properly is tricky. .w.;;;
