THE SELBSTBESTIMMUNGSGESETZ PASSED! IT MEANS "LAW FOR SELF-DETERMINATION" AND WHAT IT SAYS IS THAT FROM NOVEMBER ON YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR FIRST NAME AND GENDER MARKER FOR FREE!

They did put in a 3 month waiting period because of course they did but also you can start that waiting period before November apparently so that your name changes the day the new law becomes active.

the reason why its trans masc in particular is bc i was basically collecting these for myself and then one day put them together for easy access. so - apart from all the legal stuff and medical guidelines - its mostly curated for transmasc needs

but i do know some of some cool sources that are more targeted for the transfem audience (like that cool detailed blog post about getting an orchiectomy) so i think ill add some ... and rename the carrd lol edit: already did that

Ampel promised us the Selbstbestimmungsgesetz mid last year, then late last year and now they're saying before the political summer break. In the meantime both Finland and Spain have managed to get these kinds of laws passed and we are still waiting
