(rough translations, take with grain of salt)
Geun-tae is more unsettled by Yona's ascension than I expected.
"If there is no war, there's no issue. However, I never expected Princess Yona to ascend to the throne. I wasn't able to understand what at all King Su-Won was thinking /what he intended up until the very end..."
This line. I was so disappointed by how Geun-tae just seemed to switch up on Su-Won so easily for Yona in the castle arc so damn this is actually good. I love that even though he did like how Yona chose to save the war prisoners one time, that doesn't mean he wanted her to take Su-Won's place as the ruler.
It It seems he's disgruntled by the lack of explanation and interested in learning what is going on with Su-Won. He's also looking for a general candidate but things aren't working out so well, so now, he's ruminating how he's still going to still attend ceremonies, meetings and show himself in public for a while.
