Part 2 of 2
Cas wasn’t lying, his apartment was only a quick walk from the bar and Dean was damn grateful. He could feel his desire for the other man growing as soon as they left the bar. Maybe it was the mix of Cas, alcohol and lack of sex but as they waked Dean could practically hear his heart hammering against his chest.
Cas let them into the building before gently pulling Dean in for a tender kiss that Dean wasn’t expecting at all. Slightly drunken make out? Yes. Tender kisses? Not so much. It took him aback but he melted into it and slowly wrapped himself around Cas. Did he care that he knew nothing about this man apart from his name, the fact that he was single and lived near the bar? No, not really. Dean needed to escape for the night and escape was what he was getting.
“Not that this isn’t great but…well my neighbours are somewhat prudish. I doubt they would appreciate us continuing this in the lobby.” Cas said between kisses.
“Oh? Why, what did you have in mind?”
“Something that would most definitely scandalise them.” Cas shot back. Wow, the guy really was throwing subtly away now. Dean grinned and let Cas lead him towards a flight of stairs. Barely a minute later they came to Cas’ apartment. Dean could have turned away, gone home to his daughter and not kiss a stranger but for one night he didn’t want to be the responsible father he’d forced himself to be over the past ten months, he wanted just wanted to be.
As Cas opened the door Dean pressed against him and kissed him almost hungrily, barely giving Cas a chance to shut the door before he was unbuttoning the other man’s shirt. If Dean was doing this he was doing this right goddammit.
“You wanna lead the way?” Dean asked, cocking his eyebrow suggestively. Cas looked at him with confusion for a moment before it clearly dawned on him what Dean meant. Between frantic kisses he lead Dean down the small hallway towards a closed door. Dean let out a small chuckle when Cas kicked the door open and pulled Dean into the room.
They tumbled into the room, Dean losing his own shirt in the process as Cas quickly undid the buttons and pulled it off his shoulders. That burning feeling of desire was rising up in Dean’s chest. He quickly pulled Cas back towards him, their kiss crashing together and meeting in a wild battle. It was a flurry of biting kisses and hands scrambling for purchase. Dean desperately seeking passion from this beautiful stranger. Skin against skin, hear radiating from them both. It was pure want as basic instinct took over. The sound to ragged breathing filled the room.
By this point was almost painfully hard and if something more didn’t happen soon he was going to lose his damn mind.
“Do you have-”
“Yeah, top drawer.” Cas said between staccato breaths. He reached over, grabbed a condom from the top drawer and threw it over to Dean. Dean bit bruising kisses into Cas’ neck as he tore the wrapped open. “Let me” Cas practically groaned as he took Dean in hand and slowly worked the condom onto Dean’s hard cock. Dean bit down once again into Cas’ neck, kissing over the marks he left. Cas groaned loudly and his grasp around Dean tightened.
Without any finesse, Dean was too far gone by this point, he worked Cas open. Heavy breaths were no longer the only sound filling the room. Cas was panting loudly, every moan hitting Dean and sending a wave of lust through his flaming hot body.
“Dean…Dean…seriously Dean I’m close.” Cas gasped between moans.
It was intense, filled with heat and desperate hands digging into skin. Biting kisses and hurried rhythm that filled the room with heat and cries drowning in lust. Dean could barely hang on as the pool of burning desire in his stomach engulfed every part of him. Cas gripped onto his hand tightly, bit down on Dean’s lip and he was gone. Completely lost in this sea of pure want.
When it was over and their skin cooled Cas curled into Dean’s body, gripping onto him tightly as if he was scared Dean would escape. There was no chance of that, Dean was far too content to move. If he had his own way he wouldn’t leave this spot for a long time.
***
The first thing Dean was aware of when he woke was that he was alone. The second was that he definitely wasn't in his own bed. Right, he'd gone out the night before. He hadn't slept in his own bed and he was alone because Emma obviously hasn't climbed into his bed in the middle of the night.
Wait...Cas. The guy he'd met the night before. Where was he? Dean groaned and rubbed his eyes as he looked around the room.
"Sorry did I wake you?" Cas asked, placing the mug of coffee down next to Dean.
"Nah, you're good man." Dean said. The coffee smelt fucking incredible.
"I'm sort of an early riser." Cas said with a shrug. "I thought you'd want coffee or something like that."
"Thanks." Dean grinned over at Cas and he noticed how the other man seemed to relax a whole lot more. "You were freaked that this was going to be awkward." He said. Cas actually blushed. Hit the nail on the head there then. "Dude, chill."
"I rarely do this Dean, last night was the first time I'd been out in a while. I have a pretty demanding job."
"Say no more." Being a single parent was probably the most demanding job of Dean's life, he knew how Cas felt.
"So...it's not awkward?" Cas asked warily. Dean rolled his eyes and motioned for Cas to come closer. He pulled the other man back onto the bed and in one swift move rolled so he was straddling Cas' hips.
"Definitely not awkward." Dean said before gently kissing Cas. That was until his phone beeped loudly. Dean glanced at the screen and saw a text from Jess.
'Hey dirty stop out, little terror is asking if you're taking her to school.'
"Shit, I gotta get going." Dean muttered. "I...I had a really good time last night Cas."
"Same here Dean." Cas said with a grin.
"Pass me your phone." Dean said as he quickly dressed. Cas cocked an eyebrow. "I'm giving you my number, if you want to...if you're free again or something." He said with a shrug. He'd been tempted to draw this up to a one night stand and leave it at that but there was something about Cas, he was intriguing. Dean liked intriguing. "I really have to go though." He said before planting one last kiss on Cas’ lips. “I’ll see you soon?”
“Yes Dean, I am sure we will see each other soon.” Cas said with a tender smile. Dean smiled back and carried on smiling as he left Cas’ apartment.
It was only a short walk back to the bar where Dean had left his car. He really should have traded the Impala in for a more 'child friendly' car but Emma loved the car and was already planning on adding her own features to the car. These mainly included Disney princess stickers and glitter.
Dean found the car and quickly drove back home to change, mainly to stop Jess making comments, then hurried over to Emma's school. The playground was packed but he soon found Jess and Emma.
"Cutting it close aren't you?" Jess said with a playful smile as Dean hurried up to her and Emma. "Have a good night?" She then asked, the playful smile becoming a smirk.
"Yeah and that's all you're getting." Dean muttered as Emma flung her arms around his waist.
"Morning daddy!" Emma said happily, her hug threatening to cut off circulation. Dean smiled down at his daughter and lifted her up to hug her properly. "Auntie Jess made pancakes. Uncle Sam ate five but he said he only ate two." Emma said as if it was a huge conspiracy theory.
"Someone doesn't get the concept of secret pancakes." Jess said.
"Did you have a nice time with Aunt Jess and Uncle Sam?" Dean asked Emma who nodded her head enthusiastically.
"Yeah! We watched a movie, I told them all about my new teacher then Aunt Jess read me two bedtime stories and we had hot cocoa and cookies!" Emma said excitedly.
"She also doesn't get the concept of secret cookies." Jess said rolling her eyes.
"I ate five!" Emma said proudly. Dean snorted. "And I told Auntie Jess all about Mr Novak. He's the best!"
"Oh yeah, we've heard all about the brilliant new teacher. I think Emma's smitten.” Jess whispered. Have you met him?"
"Not yet, there's a welcome thing on Friday I’m trying to get out of work to go to. He hasn't been here when I've dropped Emma off or picked her up yet."
"You'd think he was the next messiah from the stories I've been told." Jess muttered. Dean smirked as he knew when Emma really liked something she would talk about it to death, new teachers included.
"That's him daddy!" Emma said as she nudged Dean excitedly and pointed over to a man quickly hurrying into the playground. "Morning Mr Novak!" Emma cried as she waved enthusiastically, nearly hitting Dean in the process. Dean looked over to see this amazing new teacher of Emma's and nearly dropped his daughter when he came saw the very same person he'd said goodbye to not an even an hour previously. “Daddy this is Mr Novak, he’s the best teacher ever.”
"Oh, good morning Emma." Cas said brightly as he gave Emma an affectionate smile. His eyes fell onto Dean and he stopped. "Dean?" Cas said, his mouth gaping open. Dean couldn't help but notice the hint of a bruise barely hidden by his shirt's collar and tried to resist the urge to smirk. That was until he realised the whole situation and saw the looked of utter confusion on Cas’ face.
"Oh...hey." Dean said nervously as he put Emma down. Jess' eyebrows raised and Dean could see the slow smirk spreading across her face.
"Daddy, I'm going to play on the swings with Emily and Katie." Emma announced happily. “Are you picking me up after school?”
“Yeah sweetie I am, we’re going over to see Auntie Jo.” Dean said. Emma grinned happily because seeing Jo meant the young girl got to drink her weight in milkshakes even if Dean tried to stop it from happening.
“Auntie Jo is the best.” Emma said. Jess coughed loudly. “Not the bestest best though.” She added hastily before skipping off across the playground.
“Glad to hear it kiddo!” jess called after her. "I better get going too, I need to get to work." Jess said giving Dean a quick kiss on the cheek and a very knowing look. "Say goodbye to the little munchkin for me. Dinner after Jo’s?"
"Yeah...sure. I’ll call you later." Dean said, all the while he knew Cas was watching him with a questioning look. Jess hurried off and Dean just knew she was probably texting Sam right there and then. "So...you're Emma's teacher?"
"And you're Emma's father...and married?" Cas asked looking a mix between confused, hurt and angry.
"What?! Jess? Oh fuck no...she's my brother's fiancée dude!" Dean said quickly. "I'm single. Totally and completely single!"
"But you're Emma's father?"
"Um...yeah...yeah...it's a long story. Not the best story either. Look Cas..." Dean was getting flustered, well aware they were surrounded by kids and parents who had no idea that a few hours previously Dean and their precious little darling's teacher had getting down and pretty dirty. "I...I had no idea who you were, I mean I didn't know you were a teacher. Especially not Emma's teacher and if this is awkward for you then I get that but..."
"You said it's a long story?"
"What?"
"The story behind you and Emma? You said it was a long story. Well school is about to start and you have a job to get to, as do I obviously, so why don't we go over this story sometime? There's a diner by me that does quite good food, it's small and quiet, we can talk there."
"Are you asking me out?" Dean asked. This was not how he thought this conversation was going to go by any means.
"Cards on the table? I like you, I liked you last night and I liked you this morning. Finding out that you're the father of one of my students is an issue but I still like you and I'd like to see you again if that is something you want." Cas said sounding nervous. Why he sounded nervous was totally beyond Dean.
“I’m free tomorrow night. A small and quiet diner where we can talk sounded like a great idea to me.” Dean said. Cas’ face broke into a glorious smile and Dean had to smile back. Yes this was a complicated situation but he could tell that Cas was definitely going to be worth it.
