This isnt meant to be mean in any way but why do you require credits for gifs if the content isnt yours ?

I could rant about how this is a pointless and pretty insulting question even if you’re not trying to be mean, but I won’t… A visual example is probably better.

The first gif on the left is what you’d get if I just lazily took a clip, slapped it into Ezgif, and called it a day.

The second gif on the right however is the actual gif I used in this gifset I made. I spend a lot of time editing all sorts of things, from the speeds at which the clips play for smoother movements to the colours and lighting, etc…

Giving credit is just basic respect, and that's it. Linking back to gifsets means a gif maker gets credit for making the gifs you all use for free in your stimboards or whatever else you use them for, and the person who provided the original footage also gets the credit they deserve.

And to put it in really simple terms: Not giving credit just really isn’t cool!
