After spending a couple of days back in Phenac in her apartment, watching Mystique float around her apartment chasing after Colin who was having way too much fun running under the tables and chairs, a thought crossed her mind. She hadn’t seen Morty in quite a long time, and while she tried to write him as much as she could, not seeing him for this long was lame.

So obviously, that needed to be fixed and she knew just the thing to have them bond over. The Relic Forest where Celebi resided sometimes, would also be something they could talk about. She needed to show it to him anyway, since he had such a strong connection with all three of the Dogs Wes and her managed to save. And Celebi was so important too. So she wrote to him, inviting him to the lush green oasis of Agate Village.

She returned her playful munchkins, and set out to leave Phenac immediately to meet him there. She was so excited she could hardly wait. And while she knew that it would take Morty a while to get there, she wanted to see her grandparents anyway. Spending quality time with them for a few days was always something she enjoyed, and when it was about time to meet up with him, she stood outside the Village, waiting for him to appear. It was getting dark, and that was exactly what she was hoping for. When he finally did arrive, she waved to him, running over and hugging him tight. 

“Morty! I missed you a ton! Thanks for coming all the way out here, I know it wasn’t an easy trip. But I really hope you like this. I’ve got a great thing to show you that I’m sure we can talk endlessly about! It’s the Relic Forest, where we saved all those Pokemon seven years ago.”

Hey there. I've been going through some illness and general lack of wellness both physical and emotional and I really need to take a huge step back. Could I please take a long hiatus on all three of my children? I'm hoping that's all this becomes. Thank you.

Oh, gosh!  I’m so sorry to hear that!  You don’t have to say anything more: I’ll put your characters on our extended hiatus, which lasts five (5) weeks.  This will have your characters on hold for you until March 31st.  It hurts me to hear that you’re going through such a terrible time.  I really do hope that things get better for you, and that this break delivers everything that you need.  Please take good care of yourself in the interim.  I don’t want you putting yourself under any more unnecessary stress.  Just focus on getting rest for now.  We’ll see you back if/when you’re ready.

I love Morty, every time I read something of yours I’m always delighted because I can never quite anticipate his reactions, his character is so interesting to me. Like, I’m always thinking of him as someone very self-assured who totally has it together, but then you throw in some small reminder of his more emotional side and it’s Really Good. Plus your writing style compliments him well, the tone of your descriptions is so pleasant and soothing and I like the way you adapt it slightly to suit each of your muses.

And I mean, obviously I’m terribly biased here but I always enjoy some skewed morals and unhealthy infatuations with power so. There’s that too ahaa.

Have you ever wanted to change anything about your life?

“Well, yeah. If I could count all the things I’d wanted to change, it’d have to be about 70% of the whole bit; the only things I wouldn’t change were finding Umo and Eo, and the rest of my party that chose to stay, so I guess that means I would’ve still wanted to fight Cipher. But I wanted to fight them as a real hero, not somebody who felt he had to. And I wanted to do it with parents to still come home to. I would’ve never went back to Unova after it was all over, either; it was a waste of time for the load of shit that came with it.”
