fearing death. watching as blood ran from cold dead eyes. a typical duty to fulfill, everyday. however when death came to those he loved, to those seconds to feel them as if they were his own fear. those were the moments he could not wake even when death submerged him deeper into chaos. drowning him with thousands of echoed laughs which rumbled behind him, the claws of hers seeping lower into his skin to remind him. this is who he is. back of hand ran down her paleness of cheeks. wiping away what he could of dried stained tears. witnessing the warmth leave her lips, the stiffness in her hold grow numb. as much times as he had adjusted her body into his, to help keep what was still there for those seconds. nothing he could do was manageable to save. save her, never. no power could save their love. thanos watched her, helpless, burdened with as much curse as she has endured herself. whispering to her was useless, they could not say or described his pain and last words into a few. though through the tears of his own, spattering against her hair. while he breathed her in one last time. he cried. kisses into a trembling mess. her hair once raged and burned with a fire red. it soon dulled as did her life, inside his arms. thanos did not fear death, he feared being alone.
