The violet webcap - Cortinarius violaceus.
Found a small patch of them growing in a blackthorn thicket under aspen trees in Glenan woods. <3

Found some lovely fungi in Glenan Wood while looking for archaeological remains. This one is the flaming scalycap - Pholiota flammans, growing on rotting conifer stumps in what is now a burgeoning birch thicket.
I think this is rose moss - Rhodobryum roseum. There's a small patch of it growing next to the old village in Glenan Wood.

Found a funny old cauldron down in the woods yesterday.
Green elf-cup fungi - Chlorociboria Sp.
July fly agarics - Amanita muscaria. Round here, they do often have an early flush and then come back again in Sept-Oct time. A heavy rain shower has knocked their spots off and rinsed some of the red out of their caps.
Winter on the wane! A view south to Arran from the top of Bar nan Damh, in Glenan nature reserve.
