A continuation to post /post/818324834584018944/, but now showcasing the Manual glitch for Legacy Mode in Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom.
As shown previously, if you open the Manual 15 or more times, and then you go and select a difficulty and after that return to the difficulty screen, you will be met with a garbled up text. Upon selecting the garbled text, it will turn into “Hard Mode”, although neither the stage location that will be played nor the difficulty shown in the upper corner will be related to Hard.
If you proceed to play the shadowy "Hard mode", you will actually start Extra Stage on Normal difficulty. The Point Value meter will show 7,773,910 in the beginning but will suddenly reset to 10,000 and the HiScore would display 17,041,094,51117 for some reasons, although I certainly never achieved that monstruous score.
Triggering the garbled up text proved to be more difficult this time, although other times when I tested this, I could do it much sooner. This time, the game decided to play tricks on me and when going back from the difficulty menu, I ended up in some sorts of uncertainity where neither Pointdevice Mode nor Legacy Mode would be highligted. At times Pointdevice Mode would be selected when going back even if it should have been Legacy Mode the one highlighted.
One thing to notice is that once the Manual glitch is active, even if you didn’t trigger the garbled up text yet and you try to go back to the main menu, the Manual option would be selected instead of Game Start, behaviour present in other games that have the Manual glitch.
