I was feeling motivational...
For anyone who truly desires to become a K-Pop idol, or a Global Idol, this is for you.
Train consistently. Remind yourself that showing up and bettering yourself will forever be better than failing due to lack of effort. If you show up, you can't fail--if your result isn't what you wanted, or isn't up to par, realize that it's a pivot and take a step back to see the full picture. What happened that was within your control? What happened that was outside of your control?
Think individuality, not 'perfection'. These idols that we love aren't perfect people. They're different, they're known to be who they are because they're authentically them. They don't make their personalities based on what they think people will like. When we see that happen, we call it out, don't we?
Realize the work that goes into becoming an idol. Your favorites were like you at some point. They wanted their dreams so badly that they trained hard for it, they worked to be good enough to themselves, and it showed the company they were good enough. The amount of work that goes into being a singer, writer, producer, model, athlete, dancer, and performer is beyond anything you can ever put your mind to when you think about it as a far away dream.
So, break down who you are. Write it down. Be honest with yourself, not overly critical. Become the person you need to be to achieve the dreams that your soul yearns for.
In my case, it's being a global idol. I've always wanted to be a performer, an artist, a group leader, a dancer, a singer, a rapper, a producer. I stopped hoping and decided to train myself. I don't have access to a lot of things that would be beneficial to someone training. Minimal outside support, and no access to vocal lessons or a dance studio. I train myself. If you're reading this, you have Youtube. Youtube is the best way to become the person you need to for a journey like this. You can train by yourself, train in silence, isolate, and come back ten times better than even you expected of yourself.
I know this was long, but it was necessary.
Remember, the words you speak about yourself are what build your reality. It's only delusion if you sit back and do nothing to achieve it. It's faith if you get up and do something about it.
Have faith in yourself, and always remember where you started.
I love you!
