i don’t mean to have a chip on my shoulder about people with different and possibly less traumatic experiences than mine, but this quarantine has put into perspective a lot of the fragility or most people i know and shined a light on the strengths ive gained through coping with mental illness, etc. not to minimize the financial and psychological trauma of those facing unemployment or being stuck with abusive family — that’s so valid and hell, so is just hating being stuck at home. but i’m feeling capable of handling this abyss and it’s so nice because usually it feels like everybody but me feels at ease and now it’s the other way around.
