I'm so happy that the canes won, not only because of Hart having the worst goaltending in stanley cup final history, but also because Carter Hart is literally evil.

I'm reading We Breed Lions by Rick Westhead and oh my god hockey culture in Canada is so insidious, with players being seen as "above the law" and as "hockey gods", and that being one of the reasons why players think they can group rape women they've coerced into having sex with maybe one guy. This conversation cannot end until Carter Hart and his dear friends are brought to justice, alongside Mike Babcock getting investigated, and all the other sexual assaults that are getting covered up by the NHL and by Hockey Canada.

I despise the organization that is the Vegas Golden Knights, their assistance in covering up this sexual assault case, their hiring and playing of Carter Hart even though they really honestly should have played Adin Hill when Hart fucking sucked, their hiring of John Tortorella (who is known to verbally harass and abuse his players), and more personal reasons such as "they're good rn".

There's an ongoing investigation into Mike Babcock so I don't really feel like I can actively speak on it, but, he called players one at a time into a private room and told them to show him their camera rolls. He would also verbally harass and abuse players, coaches, support staff, and arena staff. He's not well-liked by most players and yet because of the "old boys club" nature of hockey, he's one of about ten options for head coaches. Disgusting.
