Mas contenido de Godai, esta vez de la madre de Toshinori y sus hermanos, la matriarca del Clan Hageshi y una de las mejores Onna Bugeishas de su tiempo; Yui.

💚Como dije, Yui es la matriarca actual del Clan Hageshi, al haberse casado con el heredero del clan Kogane Hageshi cuando estos tenian unos 20-23 años. Diria que forman parte de un grupo muy pequeño de las parejas de Godai que se casaron no por conveniencia ni por poder, sino por amor. Kogane esta genuinamente, perdidamente enamorado de su esposa (incluso despues de 5 hijos), lo mismo con Yui. Podrias decir que este tipo de crianza positivia fue lo que influyo positivamente en los niños.

💚Yui viene de la familia Toyosaki, un clan menor que esta anexado al clan Hageshi, sus escribas y administradores, basicamente. por eso mismo Yui y Kogane interactuaron mucho mientras crecian antes de que tuvieran interes romantico uno del otro. Yui es alguien que estudio mucho antes de interesarse en convertirse en Onna Bugeisha, solo para enterarse que no habia un grupo formal para las mujeres dentro del clan Hageshi.

💚Gracias a esto, Yui inicio una iniciativa para crear un grupo de entrenamiento exclusivamente de mujeres, llamando la atención al ser una hija de escribas quien hacia esto. Yui es tanto una gran estratega como una gran luchadora, por lo que siempre veía cada batalla como una guerra, permitiéndole una vista de la pelea mas completa y siendo reconocida por ser una luchadora casi invicta.

💚Despues de que ella y Kogane se casaron, este grupo crecio exponencialmente, lamentablemente tambien trayendo consigo a cierta persona que despues causaria problemas a la familia; Akame. Una mujer del exterior con historia dudosa, que buscaba constantemente superar a Yui. No fue hasta que Yui le gano en un combate mano a mano que Akane se fue del clan, pero volvio para una venganza bastante horroroza.

💚Yui y Kogane tuvieron su primer hijo pocos meses despues de casarse; Yusuke, el que seria el hermano mayor de Toshinori, Ryoba y el resto de sus hermanos. Sin embargo, cuando Yusuke tenia unos 6 años (Toshinori y Ryoba apenas tenian unos meses), fue secuestrados y tomado por unos intrusos que se metieron a la fortaleza del clan (te dare tres intentos para adivinar quien fue).

💚Incluso en la actualidad, casi dos decadas despues, Yui se niega a decir que su hijo esta muerto (Kogane comparte el sentimiento, pero puedes decir que ha perdido la esperanza despues de tanto tiempo). Aun asi hacen un pequeño rito el dia de su cumpleaños, a su vez de expediciones con las Onna Bugeishas para tratar de encontrar algun cuerpo, sin exito.

💚Como una dama culta de alta sociedad, Yui le gusta mucho escribir, especialmente poemas en prosa, Haiku, hacer origami con sus hijos, o entrenando a las Onna Bugeishas mas jovenes. Sus armas predilectas son de mediano a largo alcance, como lanzas y naginatas (basicamente una lanza tradicional japonesa).

💚Diria que mientras que Kogane se encarga mas de los aspectos velicos del Clan, Yui se encarga de los aspectos mas tecnicos y sociales. Kogane siempre fue algo asi como una oveja negra dentro de su familia, por lo que su forma de ayudar es haciendo las expediciones, "luchar" por su familia. Mientras que Yui es quien organiza esas funciones que Kogane deberia cumplir, organizar papeleo, conocer las mayores amenazas, etc. en general ella y Kogane son un equipo.

💚Definitivamente Toshinori heredo lo de ser quisquilloso con la comida de ella, constantemente esta comiendo frutas muy dulces o acidas como duraznos y frutillas, a su vez que es casi imposible hacerle comer caldos. Aunque en general come mucho, probablemente para tener las suficientes calorías para entrenar.

💚Una gran mamá oso, metete con sus hijos, y mientras ella viva, tu tendras que checar tus ventanas.

More Godai content, this time about Toshinori and his siblings' mother, the matriarch of the Hageshi Clan and one of the best Onna Bugeisha of her time; Yui.

💚As I said, Yui is the current matriarch of the Hageshi Clan, having married the clan heir, Kogane Hageshi, when they were around 20-23 years old. I'd say they're part of a very small group of Godai couples who married not for convenience or power, but for love. Kogane is genuinely, madly in love with his wife (even after having five children), and the same with Yui. You could say this kind of positive upbringing was what positively influenced the children.

💚Yui comes from the Toyosaki family, a minor clan attached to the Hageshi clan, its scribes and administrators, basically. For this reason, Yui and Kogane interacted a lot growing up before they developed romantic interests in each other. Yui studied extensively before becoming an Onna Bugeisha, only to learn that there was no formal group for women within the Hageshi clan.

💚 Thanks to this, Yui started an initiative to create an all-female training group, attracting attention as the daughter of scribes was the one doing this. Yui is both a great strategist and a great fighter, so she always viewed each battle as a war, allowing her a more complete view of the fight and being recognized as a nearly undefeated fighter.

💚After she and Kogane married, this group grew exponentially, unfortunately also bringing with it a certain someone who would later cause problems for the family: Akame. A woman from the outside with a dubious history, who constantly sought to surpass Yui. It wasn't until Yui defeated him in hand-to-hand combat that Akane left the clan, but she returned with a rather gruesome revenge.

💚Yui and Kogane had their first son a few months after they married: Yusuke, who would become the older brother of Toshinori, Ryoba, and the rest of his siblings. However, when Yusuke was about 6 years old (Toshinori and Ryoba were barely a few months old), he was kidnapped and taken by intruders who broke into the clan fortress (I'll give you three guesses).

💚Even today, almost two decades later, Yui refuses to say that her son is dead (Kogane shares the sentiment, but you can tell she's lost hope after so much time). They still hold a small ritual on his birthday, along with expeditions with the Onna Bugeisha to try to find a body, to no avail.

💚As a cultured high-society lady, Yui enjoys writing, especially prose poems and haiku, making origami with her children, and training the younger Onna Bugeisha. Her preferred weapons are medium- to long-range weapons, such as spears and naginata (basically a traditional Japanese spear).

💚I'd say that while Kogane is more in charge of the sailing aspects of the Clan, Yui is in charge of the more technical and social aspects. Kogane has always been something of a black sheep within her family, so her way of helping out is by going on expeditions and "fighting" for her family. Meanwhile, Yui is the one who organizes the tasks Kogane should be fulfilling, sorting out paperwork, identifying the biggest threats, etc. Overall, she and Kogane are a team.

💚Toshinori definitely inherited her picky eater traits. He's constantly eating very sweet or sour fruits like peaches and strawberries, and it's almost impossible to get him to eat broth. Although he generally eats a lot, probably to have enough calories to train.
