It would have been disconcerting, having all these eyes on him. It would have been disconcerting... had he not been so used to it.
The death of his bequeather had caused quite a commotion, leaving behind several hundred employees clueless as to what would happen to the company and in result, them. The late Mr. Lee had been only a hair past 50. He worked out 3 times a week, didn’t consume any preservatives and paid a pretty penny for the best medical care anyone could ask for. Not only that, but he didn’t put himself through such unnecessary stresses like family. No children, no living relatives, no heir... at least no heir that they knew of. It was clear to anyone and everyone that the CEO of SVEnergy had been planning on staying alive for a very long time.

With so little to live for, Mr. Lee was no challenge at all. The man’s soul was already blackened with grief, heart so easy to sway that Seungcheol almost felt a hint of remorse.
“There is a person that wishes to see you, Mr. Choi.” Seungcheol looked up from some of his paperwork, raising a disinterested brow in question.
“I am not expecting anyone.”
His secretary gripped her clipboard a bit closer to her chest, stammering slightly before flinching when Seungcheol waved a hand. “Send them in. I have nothing else to do.” He stood up and reached for his decanter, pouring himself a glass of whiskey.
His secretary forced a shaky nod before scurrying out his office to relay the orders.
