Going AWOL || Dylan & Quinn

[Dylan thought she was fine. The initial panic following Kaiser’s death had worn off, aided by the funeral and her talk with Felix. She still felt shaky, and sometimes she found herself Faded and had to bring herself back, but she was fine. She was handling it. She could handle it. She’d handled worse, and she could get through this. She would get through this. It was getting better; she just had to take it one day at a time.]

[One day at a time seemed to be working right up until Testing Day. Dylan had almost forgotten, until she’d woken up to the reminder flashing on her PDD. All the anxiety she’d been pushing down surged back up into her chest and before she knew it she was behind the stables, pressing her back to the wall and trying to breathe. She hadn’t even bothered to get dressed. Getting dressed would mean she was ready for today and she was so far from ready. Just the thought of going into that sterile room and being asked to use her powers made her feel like throwing up. All she wanted to do was hide, but each time she felt the cold wash of her Infection creeping up her fingers she squeezed her fists until it hurt. Anything to keep herself from disappearing.]

*******SPOILERS*******

There will be some reference from the latest episode of The Bad Batch. Then the inspiration is from the post about Darth Vader seeing the trap in the Death Star because he was mechanic from a past life and never says anything. Onwards we go!!

Crosshair got the orders to go after The Bad Batch officially. He was a little bit at a loss on how to execute a plan. He hated making plans. The stupid Imperial Rampart keeps threatening him. Whenever he has a chance this is the first one he is going to take him out.

The Emperor is getting reports with the problems with Ryloth. From the previous war this make him very nervous. That Syndulla is a thorn in his side. He was going to send Darth Vader to put the fear in the people of Ryloth. He gave the orders to send Darth to Ryloth.

Crosshair figured out what he was going to do. He was going to get rid of the team that they stuck on him. Then he was going to used Howzer to help him. Because it seems that this Reg is more capable. Similar to that reg Rex. And that reg hasn’t been acting like the others. Omega mention something about a chip. He stalked to the brig. None of the reg gave him a second glance. He thinks that they are afraid of him which is perfectly fine. That means no one will bother him. He got to the cell where the regs were being held.

Howzer was surprised when he saw Crosshair standing in front of the cell. He has heard about stories about Special Clone force 99. Using defective clones on a team to do clean up duties when something goes wrong. Then heard that the majority of the team went rogue which surprised him. He didn’t understand why Crosshair was not with them. He heard about the chip. Howzer was confused when he didn’t suddenly become a drone like the others. But he had a serious enough head injury that Cham used a private medical droid. The medical droid found an anomaly in the scan Cham had it removed. He only found out after the war was over. He never told anyone because he knew that would be the end for him.

‘Why aren’t you acting like the rest of them?’

Howzer was shocked when that question came out of Crosshair. He now seeing the conflict. He knew that he would have to tell him about what happen. He knew that this would probably cause problems with his men. So he told Crosshair that he had the chip removed. He was still himself. Howzer looked at his men and he could see the shock. Crosshair then had his confirmation. Also he was guessing why the rest of his brothers were on the Venator ship. It wasn’t for weapons it was probably to remove the chip. He wonders if his brother went off.

‘You are going to help me non-negotiable.’

‘Okay. But my men come with me.’

‘Fine.’

Crosshair needed a few more hours of planning. Crosshair wasn’t being despatched right away. Apparently support was coming in and no one could leave yet. He needed to get armour that would match his stupid team. He also had to make some alterations to the mission parameters. He wasn’t as good as Tech but he had enough skills to make the changes without being detected. Then he finally made it to the med bay that was clone used. So it wouldn’t be documented. He wanted to have his brain scan. The scan was completed and nothing was found. It didn’t make sense. He was going to have to get to his brothers for help. He wasn’t exactly going to let the reg help him. He didn’t want to hurt his brothers.

Rampart was shitting himself. Coruscant was sending a transport to help deal with the situation at hand. But there was no information on who or what was coming. How was he going to prepare. It wasn’t Tarkin. Tarkin always had his name on the manifest. Since it was coming in from Coruscant then there had to be a proper Imperial greeting. So he grabbed a bunch of the battalions which wasn’t much because everything is a mess. They were waiting watching the shuttle land.

Rampart knew he was doomed because it was Lord Vader walking down the ramp.

Crosshair took the perfect opportunity to execute his plan. Apparently some big shot was coming in from Coruscant. There wouldn’t be much notice. Also Rampart was ordering a troops for presentation. There was pretty much no one in the brig guarding. So he got the regs out. He stashed some armours that were the colours for his team. Hopefully they will get away with it and there won’t be to many questions. He also threaten them with harm if the regs crossed him. Howzer assured him that wouldn’t be the case but he really didn’t believe them.

They were making their way to the shuttle bay. The orders said that they were to leave as soon as the air restriction was lifted. As they were making their way they came across Darth Vader. Luckily Rampart wasn’t there or the plan was over. But they were only hearing whispers about the Emperor’s second. This was the first appearance to them. They were all terrified. Crosshair hope they stay calmed. Crosshair thought there there was something familiar to this new second.

‘Orders’ commanded Vader.

Crosshair couldn’t say anything. He just handed the data pad that had the orders. He just hopes that his changes stick. Then hopefully there won’t be anymore problems. Vader took the pad and looked at. There was a moment. Vader handed the pad back to Crosshair then starts stalking away. The entire group held their breath. They really didn’t know what just happened. But they needed to make a move.

Vader knew there was something up with the group of clones that he came across. He could feel it in the force. He really didn’t look at the orders. He read what happen with Special Clone force 99. But really he had more important issues than some AWOL clones. His master sent him on a mission and this wasn’t it. Vader was to put the fear into that idiot Imperial and the people of Ryloth.

Also maybe there was a small amount of Anakin that came through to let a group of clones out of this life of control.
