2, there is already a society-wide struggle to differentiate trans men and butch lesbians, but the general idea is “trans men identify as male and try to present themselves as masculine” vs “butch lesbians identify as female and try to present themselves as masculine”. One is a gender identity and the other is more closely tied with sexuality and romantic orientation.
