Dont fetish something that is used by people with disabilities. Metal arm is not sexy or cute, and Bucky, who has no fucking arm, probably doesn't think that too and so is any person who has no arm. Don't romanticize and sexualize disabilities.
Are we actually serious right now?? I come on here to post a gifset after like 93 years and I find this? Bucky’s a FICTIONAL CHARACTER with a METAL ARM.Regardless, it’s the arm itself that I find hot. It’s not like I sit and jerk it to the fact that his real arm got torn off on some mountains somewhere 70 years ago. I try to be as nice as possible on this account but I kinda draw the line when it comes to things like this. Obviously you’re more than welcome to your opinion and if you find me being sexually attracted to a cybernetic arm offensive then that’s fine, by all means never look at my blog again, block me, do whatever. But don’t come up in here and think you can try and t e l l m e what to find attractive or sexy. As long as I’m not doing anything illegal then that’s for me to decide and no one else. There are people on this site who actively defend and no doubt post all sorts of illegal material, meanwhile you’re here basically defending a fictional object and it’s fictional owner. Prrrrriorities.
okay my current and probably boring headcanon for Rey’s background/Ben’s fall to the dark side etc.
okay so Rey is Luke’s daughter (Luke is gay as hell. There was a surrogate or either he or Wedge-- he’s also married to Wedge because that’s all I see on my dash and I’ve just accepted it-- is a trans-dude and went about having babies the old fashioned way, whatever), and for a while he’s so happy. He has this perfect little daughter, and he’s training his nephew to be a Jedi.
Ben is, as teenagers are wont to do, constantly bubbling over with feelings. He gets frustrated easily, but he’s driven. He pushes himself too far, and Luke constantly has to lecture him about patience, probably feeling completely absurd the whole time. But he loves this intense, talented kid, and can’t wait to see what he’ll grow up into.
Meanwhile, Supreme Leader Snoke (or whatever big bad idc) learns that Skywalker has a child. It’s bad enough that he’s training a new generation of Jedi, and that Ben Organa is among them, but a new Skywalker in the galaxy is dangerous on both the micro and the macro scale. It cannot be allowed.
Because a direct attack from the First Order, even a covert one, would spark a war that neither side could afford at this point, a decision is made to hire an independent agent. A bounty hunter. Zam Wessel as Boba Fett whaaaaaat Or, oh my god, a young Phasma????? PLZ
Said agent infiltrates, finds the 4-5 year old Rey (which is probably not her name at the time) and takes her. Makes it look, VERY convincingly, that the child is dead. Maybe Wedge ACTUALLY dies oh no D: Both so Luke won’t have hope of her return, and so she (the agent) can claim the bounty free and clear. But she’s not a total monster. Or she just knows how to keep a bargaining chip for a rainy day. Instead of killing the child she drops her off on a shitty scavenger planet. Gives Unkar Plutt a few credits (a very small fraction of the reward awaiting her) and tells him to keep her alive until she can fend for herself. Plutt agrees, and has Rey mostly doing chores until she’s old enough to salvage for herself. (’Old enough’ is still not very. Maybe 8 or so, if we’re being generous?)
Meanwhile to all of THAT, Luke is crushed. Beyond crushed, he’s destroyed. He’s not pulled, but darkness rushes into him, like, “despair and loss is just the forgone conclusion to having loved ones fml” and he thinks, this is why my father became what he did. This is why the Jedi refuse passion. Because loving something too much HURTS, because you’ll always lose it. The thoughts are fleeting, and stamped down, but they happen.
And Luke is (mostly?) never actually at risk of going Dark, but Kylo is still early in his training, and he witnesses all of this. He feels the fragility and guilt and rage pouring off of Luke in waves, and he thinks, Luke Skywalker is supposed to be a legend, the greatest Jedi in the galaxy, and the loss of his daughter has reduced him to this. He’s disgusted by his own pity, and scared because if his mentor can be felled so easily, what hope does he have?
aaaaaand I’m a little fuzzy on the actual details of HOW he falls into league with the First Order (I am but a humble trekkie fumbling my way through the Star Wars universe, what the hell do I know), though I’m sure Snoke swoops his holographic ass in as soon as he learns that Luke is basically out of commission. *Edit to add -- I’m half-convinced there will be some Force mind-manipulation or brainwashing? Mostly because I suspect episode 8 will be itching to give us a reason to be sympathetic towards Kylo. Who knows!
And Ben, now Kylo, learns that (1.)killing is a kindness in some ways, because dying is easy. (2.) It’s being left behind that hurts. Dying is easy, young man. Living is harder. Is that why it’s easy to kill a whole town of civilians? If you leave no one to mourn, is it even a crime? Did he kill his father to remind himself how much it hurt?
Coincidentally, Finn has been taught that first lesson his whole life. And Rey has known the second for as long as she can remember.
UghhhHHH YESSSS I FINALLY GOT ALVIN'S TOX1 HAIRCUT SO NO BEARD HUZZAH
