Peter Hedegaard began his career at the renowned W.Ø. Larsen workshop, where he worked alongside masters such as Tonni Nielsen and Phil Vigen. In 1979, he set out on his own and quickly established a distinctive personal style.

Category A As with many Danish masters, Peter Hedegaard’s grading is based on the quality of the grain and the execution of the freehand shape.

Category A represents one of the highest quality levels for smooth pipes in his range. The briar features spectacular straight grain running across the entire bowl — a sign of an exceptionally fine block. The elaborate dark stain with bright golden highlights accentuates this outstanding grain.

This piece showcases Hedegaard’s characteristic sculptural aesthetics.
