(Hope you don't mind me sliding a starter into your askbox~ @grandmawickerbottom) As soon as the flame spread from her torch to the tree, Wickerbottom moved to a respectable distance from the blaze. Charcoal was necessary for drying racks, and drying racks were necessary for drying meats. Dried and stored in her icebox, food went bad so slowly, which soothed her fear of wasting food. As she waited for the tree to finish burning, she sat down next to her pack and began pulling out grass to weave.
//It’s hecking totally fine!!! Come on in =DDDWillow was out today, collecting what food she could find in order to get her stocks up before winter. This was made kind of tricky by the fact that food was getting scarcer as it got colder, but easier because of the fact she wouldn’t be able to eat anything even if she wanted to.That part…. uh. Well. It wasn’t so fun.Needless to say, she was very hungry. So, the Firestarter wandered along, kicking a rock down the path as she headed back from her neighbor’s forest. Bad as she felt about foraging near their place, it was really the only place she knew there was food right now. Though the fact she’d known it was there first made her feel less bad about it, it still wasn’t helping her mood.Eventually, Willow loses the rock in the grass, leaving her to continue wandering unhindered by menial tasks. She’s about halfway through considering some half-thought out scheme to actually get some food in her belly when the smell of smoke hits her nostrils.Fire! There was fire! Oh! Fire sounded nice right now! It wasn’t food, but it was just as good! Maybe better!Fire, here she came!@grandmawickerbottom
