Not a big shock I don’t like the hidden world but I’ve been thinking about the deathgrippers; why are they depicted as an inherently evil species? It’s the way the movie goes “all dragons deserve to live a safe and peaceful life but FUCK THOSE GUYS they’re mean”

I know they’re being drugged by Grimmel but official sources go out of they’re way to describe them as “evil”

The official website compares them to wild dogs which kind of reminds me of the way people think animals like African wild dogs or Hyenas are evil because of their grisly hunting styles.

I know we have had individual dragons who could be described as evil (Red Death/ Drogo’s Bewilderbeast) but apparently all the deathgrippers are just like that. It’s a weird way of making them unsympathetic to the audience so it’s fine that they probably died in the end. Like, yeah, Grimmel abused them but they had it coming. Feels weird, feels bad.

It's a little shorter than usual, around 1,5k, because chapter 8 is a new arc :) so we're on the last acclimating chapter now. Time for the story to begin for real and for us to put the living weapon tag to use.
