I've been neck deep in projects I'm not allowed to share yet. That's why I've been way less active here. So... Even though it might not be new I decided to start posting some of my favorite art works I've made. This one is called "Luna's Black Butterfly". It's 2.5 feet tall. With the Green Birdwing Butterfly having a wing span of 6 inches across! All the parts are antique including the lightbulb shaped glass dome. Last photo of the commission I just finished. It's a butterfly automaton I named "Luna's Black Butterfly." The Green Birdwing Butterfly (Ornithoptera Priamus) is huge! Its wing span is 6 inches across! I armored it with brass filigree and adorned if with a lime green peridot gemstone that matched its wings perfectly. Here is "Luna's Black Butterfly" in action. When I filmed this video I didn't realize that one of the antique scallop fixtures was screwed in upside down! Oops.
