Green School at Astechnova Energy Conference Project Operation Rain or Shine (OROS), the biggest renewable energy project at Green School Bali to date, has spread its wings beyond the school’s jungle campus and is sending a message of sustainable energy to the world. The project, which is funded by the Zayed Future Energy Prize, has become a truly community-based project and I’m honored to be part of the team. We have been working hard to build collaborations and partnerships with various sustainable energy stakeholders, companies, academics, sustainable entrepreneurs and more. On November 1-2, 2017, We had the opportunity to share the innovative project at the Astechnova International Energy Conference 2017 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. People from all over the world participated in this prestigious conference to present their research and discuss the Innovative Sustainable System of Energy – Water – Food (E-W-F) nexus. Moving and dumping tons of large and small rocks. Earthbag building • OROS GreenSchool project stage 2 • Natural building made from earth for us. "Treat the earth well: it was not given to you by your parents, it was loaned to you by your children." Lakota. This is about earthen architecture and a new way of building, simple, fast and beautiful : earth bag, using mostly the soil beneath our feet. The inspiration is our mother Earth, as everything in the universe is composed from the 5 elements (earth, water ,air ,fire and space).
