i can never really explain what that series does to you... it's litteraly an experience imo... like, you HAVE to live the long and boring and slow pace of the first seasons to truly appreciate the whole serie and ending. it's really not the same, to only watch the end with the grande finale...
i think i had already understood that back then, but i guess it's jsut always so weird to feel it again so many years later. Plus, with how nowadays with the whole AI infestation and social media brainwashing ppl getting addicted to ONLY want the best of the best all the time, without the hard work and the journey...
idk, there's just something so human about the making of RVB with the love and a gang of friends starting it as a joke that's just so fucking beautiful... and somehow they transformed it into this epic space adventure gyahaha i mean ofc it wasn't all sunshine and roses, but i'm talking about the good parts
i already appreciated it back then, but i guess with everything going on now, it's making me treasuring it even more
and it's making sad that there's never really going to be something else like this anymore. this whole eraof youtube and internet pushing much more creativity and thriving and community... i feel this is another kind of, you just had to be there monent

anyway quick rvb but horses. there isn't that much ''backstory'' or whatever for these, maybe it's like a farm for unwanted horses/horses who were given away/rescued etc or smth. i imagine simmons was supposed to be like a racing/trotting horse but he's just does not do well in a competition atmosphere and the grifs were circus ponies like their mom... i think grif just did not want to do any tricks and kept eating the treats. kai was kind of good but she just kept getting distracted and really wanted to hang out with all the other animals
