However, what I have learnt is that you need to cross-train your body in order to make it more efficient and increase its resilience to injuries · In fact, you can practice as much as you want and eat your bodyweight in protein - but without a little cross-training in your life, you're going to feel tight and struggle with some heavier endurance races. But cross-training isn't just for runners and a well balanced programme can benefit everyone. My why is to be fitter, faster and stronger · I don't have a goal weight because I prefer to measure my progress by comparing where I am right now pace and strength-wise to where I was 12-weeks ago ... that's not to say I never weigh myself though, I just don't take the number on the scales as an indication of my worth! So when you think about quitting, remember your why. Write it down, and use it to ground yourself with the reason you started on those days where you doubt yourself, when you can't be bothered showing up for yourself and when you start to feel as though you're getting nowhere.
